After seeing JJW at the Grand in Galveston we decided to get not one but two of the new albums(had to get one for a friend). Great sound and good memories of the concert. JJW is still writing and performing great songs that tell a story and draw you into his world....for 3-4 minutes at a time!
the story teller

Great to have something new from Jerry Jeff, ballad of honest sam, south coast, and something bout a boat are early favorites but this cd has earned a lot more listening to already!
Is his voice as strong as it was in the 70's and 80's of course not, but still a fine listen!
From the heart, as always

Jerry Jeff always opens up to his life through song and this album is no exception. There is a good mix of songs, 6 of which he penned, that include light subjects and others with a more serious tone. His voice is still pure and honest. This CD, for Jerry Jeff's fans, is a long awaited letter from an old friend, giving us an update on his life, what's on his mind, and that he's doing just fine.
How sweet it is

Love this, just imagine the smiles while Jerry Jeff is singing these - Calfornia Song is maybe my favorite..... Hard to explain, but just so nice to be able to enjoy a new JJW album - what a fun journey that continues to bring the smiles with this newest offering, though my wife is on me for not writing songs like some of these for her.... luckily I got my dog..... (Love Old Shep too) - Viva Jerry Jeff!
Personal and Reflective

This may be Jerry Jeff's most intimate, personal collection of songs ever. His songs have always been like personal accounts of where he was in his life at the time, yet somehow he managed to hit universal chords in each listener. Thus he always made each listener feel as if he or she was being let in on a secret. Here he's a man reflecting back on his life, not with regret but primarily with warm feelings of love and life. The album is on the mellow side as if he's singing to a couple of people sitting by the fire. His voice is warm and the backing musicians are superb. It's a fitting addition to the catalog of his life, and a gift to long time fans who've been along for the journey.
Jerry Jeff as good as ever

I saw Jerry Jeff back in 1976 at celebrity theater in Phoenix Arizona. He was great then and the greatness continues on with this album, as it has for all the years in between..
Worth the wait!

So excited to hear something new from JJW ! This album doesn’t disappoint. Glad some of the songs I heard at “ Camp Napa” concerts were recorded for our enjoyment. Thanks JJ!
